The provincial Progressive Conservative party is about to take a long leap to the right side of the political spectrum.
There are four candidates in the race for a new PC leader to replace John Tory, who stepped down in the spring after losing a by-election bid for a seat in the Legislature. All of them are well to the right of Tory, a moderate who tried to steer the party back to the centre after the neo-conservative Mike Harris era.
