Liberal candidate Dr. Eric Hoskins energized for by-election

August 19th - Liberal candidate Dr. Eric Hoskins, a practicing family physician and renowned humanitarian, today welcomed the call for the St. Paul's provincial by-election. Voting will take place on Thursday, September 17th, 2009.

"This by-election call will allow us to move forward on local issues," said Hoskins. "Michael Bryant was an exceptional MPP, and I want to build on his achievements. St. Paul's must continue to have an experienced and effective representative at Queen's Park."

Hoskins is no stranger to public service. As a family doctor, former foreign policy advisor, and founding president of the international charity War Child Canada, he will use his experience to make a difference locally.

"This community is my priority," Hoskins said. "I have a young family, and I know the challenges families face. I will work hard to keep our neighbourhoods safe, make sure our children get a good education, and strengthen the social services we all rely on.

"St. Paul's is very diverse, and over the last few weeks I've met with people from many communities," Hoskins continued. "I am excited to meet many more members of the greater community of St. Paul's - at the door and around the riding - in the coming weeks."
